Set in 1958, this captivating and family friendly musical is inspired by the phenomenonn of Elvis Presley and his draft notice into the army in 1957. Like Elvis, Conrad Birdie is the biggest thing to top the charts of the time. When the army drafts Birdie, his manager Albert Peterson, sees his meal ticket and prepares to fly the coop (much to the delight of his longtime love, Rose Alvarez). Desperate for a massive publicity stunt, Albert and Rose hatch a plan: send Conrad to small town American to plant his goodbye kiss on one lucky fan for the entire world to see. Their selection of super fan, Kim Macafee, send the wholesome town of Sweet Apple, Ohio, into frenzied chaos, the like of which it has never seen before.
